This is the first workshop in the Back Pain Self-Management series conducted by Mokhtar Akbari, Physiotherapist at Rideau Physiotherapy in Sandy Hill, Ottawa. In this workshop, participants will learn how to correctly identify and manage low back pain which has occurred after bending, lifting and strenuous activities or after excessive sitting periods at work. This workshop uses a practical approach. Bring relaxed clothing and a yoga mat and learn the best self-management techniques and exercises to manage your low back pain when it appears. Participants will also receive a self-management education and exercise sheet to help them put the workshop lessons in practice when they need them.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, but you have to register on eventbrite and bring ID with you. In case the event is full, only participants with who have registered on Eventbrite will be accepted. If you cannot register on Eventbrite, you may register in person at our clinic at 418 Rideau St (Rideau Wellness Center). Call us ahead of time to make sure we are in the office (613-241-3434).
